NOTIFICATION

It is hereby notified for information of all concerned that the Vice-Chancellor has approved the Schedule of Academic Calender to be observed by the University Teaching Departments and Chaudhary Devi Lal Memorial Engineering College, Panniwala Mota (Sirsa) having Semester System/Annual System during the Academic Session 2008-09 as under:

Admission (2008-2009)    21.07.2008 to 31.07.2008
Teaching (1st Term)    05.08.2008 to 22.11.2008
Odd Semester  
Preparatory Holidays    23.11.2008 to  30.11.2008
Semester/Supplementary Examinations   01.12.2008 onwards
Odd Semester
Winter Vacations    25.12.2008 to 07.01.2009
Teaching (2nd Term)    08.01.2009 to 30.04.2009
Even Semester 
Preparatory Holidays    01.05.2009 to  07.05.2009
Semester/Annual Examinations   08.05.2009 onwards
Summer Vacations    21.05.2009  to 06.07.2009

Note:
1. Practical examination may be conducted a week prior to the preparatory holidays.
2. Admission to MCA, MBA (2 year), MBA (Business Economics) and B.Tech. Courses will be made by the State Counseling Society on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test, MAT and AIEEE Entrance Examination respectively. Admission to B.Ed. Course will be made through State Level Entrance Test.
3. The above schedule will also be applicable for the Annual System except preparatory holidays and examination schedule in the month of November and December i.e. from 24.11.2008 to 24.12.2008. During this period, there will be teaching in the Annual System. However, there can be supplementary examinations during this period, for annual system.
